Updates/info for synecdochic's BPAL decanting

If anyone's looking for a Yule decant circle, vetchvesper is doing one on the forum, and needs to complete more successful circles so she can have more bottles in future circles (don't get me started on the forum bullshit rules again, heh). I haven't been in any of her circles, but she's told me that she's been inspired by mine, so hopefully they will feel familiar. :)

I've been in a ton of pain this week and have had to save a lot of my not-in-pain moments for Real Life shit, but I have gotten the actual decanting part done and about 90% of the labelling. I'm hoping to get the picking, packing, wrapping, and shipping done by Wednesday but it might have to slip until Friday, since we're hosting Thanksgiving!

I got the shipping notice for one of our orders, but not the other! (I ordered in two parts.) The Liliths from the Trading Post got here this week, too. I'll hold off on decanting until everything gets here, and I'll let you know when that is.

It would be super helpful if someone could do the labels for me! (Also, there are a few of you waiting on adjusted invoices, sorry, this year is shit, I'll get them as soon as I have a minute.)

I decided to stick with 2/6 signups instead of 3/6 for Weenies, since it took me so long to deal with things and I didn't want you to have to deal with the hassle, but we still had a few solo signups. I have contacted everybody who wanted one of the following to see if you want to double up or drop:

I still need to check through the Liliths and adjust some of the signups there/pro-rate some full/half bottles for people, but I can't sit up anymore right now, so I'm going to go lie on a heating pad and whimper instead.

If I commented at you about double up or drop, I'll wait to hear back from you until tomorrow, and then place the order assuming it's a 'drop'!

DECANT COST: $4.25/decant, $12/HB, $23/FB
SHIPPING COST: Standard shipping rates, which have been updated to include the new international rates
MINIMUM TO ORDER A BOTTLE: 3/6 slots filled
ORDER WILL BE PLACED: I don't want to speculate, ugh. Friday?
HALF BOTTLES/FULL BOTTLES/RIDE-ALONGS: Yes, although half bottles are still operating under "fucking leaky dram bottles" rules: unless there's a spare bottle, you'll get it as 3 decants. Add-on bottles will be a $1 fee.

PLEASE NOTE: I've upped the number of slots filled in a bottle from 2/6 to 3/6 for the ordering threshhold -- I'm super behind on selling leftovers and so I'm running at a larger loss than usual this year. This may affect half bottle orders, since the most common problem I've been having lately is "have to buy another whole bottle because otherwise the half bottle would be slightly short"; if that happens, I'll offer you the chance to take "whatever would otherwise be left in the bottle", with corresponding discount based on how much the bottle will be shy of a true half bottle.

PLEASE SAVE ME SOME TIME: When listing the decants you want, please list them in the order they appear in this post; it saves me a lot of time/effort/energy both while invoicing and while packing. If you want half/full bottles, list all the decants first (in order) and then list all the half/full bottles (in order).

COMBO SHIPPING: I will issue combined invoices for and ship Liliths and Weenies together. This is going to be the last circle I run this year (between planned travel, the fact that life is keeping me pretty battered, health issues, and just being so over dealing with the Lab) so anything I'm holding for you will be shipped with this circle. I'll decide after we get back from travel if I want to keep decanting or if the burnout is just too bad.

I forgot Sarah would be home all day today instead of just taking the morning off to take me to the doctor, so she helped me get the shipping done before the post office closed and will be dropping the packages off in a bit!

I got the last of the prep work done for the Unicorns circle today, and was going to do the actual decanting, but sitting in a chair for more than 20 minutes fucks my spine up this week. (No, it never stops.) With luck I should be able to do it tomorrow for shipping Tuesday or Wednesday, and then I'll get the Lilith order in and the invoices sent. Thanks for being so understanding, folks!

-- Got notice our Unicorns shipped today, so either BPAL is being speedy lately or they bumped me in the queue because I was grumpy at them about how long it took for them to fix the shipping problem. So, I'm not going to combo Unicorns + Liliths after all, especially since the Weenies will be coming soon.

-- I'll do the lists and send invoices for Liliths tomorrow -- there's a lot of stuff and I have to clean up my PayPal saved item inventory first (they only let you have so many items saved), which is a pain in the ass and I'm procrastinating.

-- Advance notice: depending on timing, I almost certainly won't be decanting this year's Yules. We're running away from home for three weeks around Christmas this year, and last year the Yules didn't actually ship to me until just before Christmas. If people want, I can run a circle when we get back, but it's probably easiest to skip them.

I will do Weenies, and Anniversaries if they drop by early November, with the understanding that if the Lab gets backed up and the order doesn't get to me by December 15, it won't ship until after January 8 or so. (I'll remind you when we get there.)

I still haven't been able to get the problem with "the site won't let me check out because it claims there's no shipping method" resolved with the Lab's customer service, and I'm really starting to get annoyed. Sorry, folks.

I'll do the Liliths (perfumes only), but I'm going to wait until the Lab's go up too before I take orders so I can put them all together on one invoice, unless it's more than a few days.

I have progressed to the point where I could sit up long enough to wrangle the lists for the Unicorns, so y'all should have invoices now. I'm waiting on one person to get back to me about a discrepancy in the signup (that will affect how many bottles I order of the thing), but will place the order as soon as we work that out!

I'm so sorry for the delay -- this tailbone thing is killing me, sigh.
