Updates/info for synecdochic's BPAL decanting

You should all have gotten shipping notices, with the exception of people who have ordered one of the backordered scents and told me to hold shipping -- the Yule/TP Yule circle packages will be taken to the post office in an hour or two!

The packages have a few extra treats than usual -- happy new year :) Usually I try to match the empty bottles with what you ordered, or at least make sure that you don't get an empty that you also got a half bottle of, but this time around it didn't work out to match things up. So, domestic packages all got an empty bottle, but I just grabbed one of the pile of empties and it bears no resemblance to your actual order. If you get something you didn't order, consider it a chance to sniff something as a bonus.

If you have a backordered scent and didn't get a chance to reply to the "do you want me to ship once or twice" email yet, don't sweat it. Anyone who didn't reply, I'm holding the package for the backorders. If you want me to ship twice, just reply whenever you get a chance and let me know, and I'll grab your decants out of the "ship later" box and package and send them. (Likewise, if you told me to hold and you change your mind, not a problem; just email me and let me know.)

Apparently our BPTP Yule order took a two-day vacation in Philadelphia, sigh.

Since I was counting on this weekend to decant those in advance of the holiday crazies and the first of the massive Yule orders arriving, I'm going to officially say that I have no fucking clue when I'll be able to get orders out the door, but I'll do my best to make it be before next weekend.

It also does not look as though they combined our second order with our third order. (I am a bit miffed at this, as the forums report everyone else getting their orders combined, but hey, I apparently got one of the last 10 bottles of Chocolate Stout Cupcake, so.) This means that anyone with the following scents will be delayed until the third order gets here:

* Chocolate Stout Cupcake
* Rose Red
* Snow White

That order includes several additional bottles for various scents -- I'd have to look at the receipt to be sure which ones -- so a few people might wind up delayed because of that, too. (I *might* be able to wrangle it so the people waiting for CSC/RR/SW are also waiting for the decants out of the other extra bottles, but the last time I tried that, I wound up missing someone after all. I'll do what I can as long as it doesn't start a ten-person cascade.)

My current plan is to ship the 'easy' orders first -- the ones with no additional-bottle or backordered decants -- and then contact everyone who's got a backordered decant(s) and see if you want me to ship twice or hold. Remember: me holding for the backordered stuff will almost certainly involve you not getting your decants until just before or just after the Yules come down, especially if you're outside the US, because I'm going to also be outside the US from 7 Jan - 25 Jan. (I originally had it as 8 Jan-24 Jan, but I forgot we have to leave the house the day before, since we're flying out of JFK and not BWI and back into EWR and not BWI, for reasons that don't need exploring at this juncture.) (It was about $2k cheaper. Plus this way we get a night in NYC to kick off our trip.) I'll get the rest of the orders out ASAP when I get home, but I expect to need at least a day or two to recover. If you want me to ship twice, I'll check how much you've paid me for shipping so far in this set of combined circles and see if I need to invoice you for another shipping charge.

(Exception: if you have backordered decants and you're in both the BPTP Yule and BPAL Yule circles, you already paid me shipping twice and I don't need to contact you; I will automatically ship twice for you.)

Going by past years, the Lupercalia update will drop while I'm in NZ. I will definitely be decanting it, but it might take me a day or so to get the signup post up, depending on cell phone/internet coverage where we are. (We're taking a week in Auckland and a week wherever we feel like going.)

Okay, I think I got all the perfumes out of this update! (I've posted a poll about what to do with hair glosses/atmos in the future.)

This circle will operate under standard policies, 6 decants per bottle, with the following variables:

COST: $4 per decant, half bottles $11.50, full bottles $23.
SHIPPING: $3 US shipping, actual cost + $1 for international [first class padded envelope], usually either $7.16 or $9.88. Inquire about upgrades for priority shipping.
MINIMUM TO ORDER A BOTTLE: 2 signups for the bottle
NEW BOTTLE POINT: at 2 people on waitlist
ORDER WILL BE PLACED: evening of Sun 7 Dec
ADD-ONS: Yes; $1 fee, plus an extra 1oz of shipping for every 1 bottle or 10 imps for internationals

COMBINED SHIPPING: Because of how many outstanding circles we've got, and how things are likely to ship what with my upcoming vacation and the like, I will only combo these with Ligeia, Anniversary, or BPAL Yules if you tell me so. Otherwise I'll charge you again for shipping.
