Circle: CHAOS THEORY VII: EMERGENCE
I am ONLY doing Chaos Theory, not the Lunacy. (Lunacies have been more trouble than they're worth for the past few rounds.) For those who are a bit fuzzy about how this works: Chaos Theory is a thing where Beth makes every bottle of perfume unique, and there are no notes listed (other than, in this case, a perfume category) and no records kept of the recipe. You pays your money, you takes your chances.
Warning: I will be slow to update the 'taken' list. Just keep signing up, I'll catch up in the wee hours.
This circle will operate under standard policies, with the following variables:
DECANT COST: $4/decant, $11.50/HB, $23/FB
SHIPPING COST: $3 US shipping; for 1-5 decants $7.16 international shipping; for 6+ decants or any half bottles/bottles, $8 to Canada, $10 to anywhere else.
MINIMUM TO ORDER A BOTTLE: 2/6 slots filled
ORDER WILL BE PLACED: Afternoon/evening of Saturday 6 Jun BUT
SIGNUPS MAY TEMPORARILY CLOSE: Evening of Friday 5 Jun
HALF BOTTLES/FULL BOTTLES/RIDE-ALONGS: No add-ons/ride-alongs for this one, because it's going to be a bit of a logistics nightmare to make sure everything gets labeled and that everyone gets what they wanted. I'll do half bottles, but half bottles are still operating under "fucking leaky dram bottles" rules, with a twist for the fact that each of these is essentially a single bottle of a single scent: if the bottle your half bottle is assigned to (see below caveat) fills up entirely, I'll give you the Lab bottle for it, otherwise you will get it in three decant vials.
SPECIAL NOTES ABOUT SELECTION: Okay, this is tough, since it's a Chaos Theory. Here's how I'm going to do the signups: You sign up for how many decants/bottles/half bottles you want for each of the 'categories'. You can sign up for multiple decants of each 'category'. If you do, you MUST specify if you want all your decants to come out of the same bottle (the same scent) or if you want all your decants to come out of different bottles (different scents). If I have more signups from 'different bottles' than I have bottles I'm ordering, or I can't rebalance the signups to make it work out, I'll offer people the option of taking more slots or dropping extra decants. This is why signups will temporarily close Friday night while I shuffle things. (If I don't need to do the shuffling, I won't close signups.)
THE WAY I WANT YOUR SIGNUPS:
Let's say you want 2 Animalic decants, 1 Gourmand decant, and 2 Woods decants.
For decants from the same bottle:
2/Animalic
1/Gourmand
2/Woods
For decants from different bottles:
1/Animalic
1/Animalic
1/Gourmand
1/Woods
1/Woods
Mixing and matching, let's say you want 2 DIFFERENT decants of Animalic, one half bottle of Woods, and 2 of the SAME Gourmand:
1/Animalic
1/Animalic
1 HALF BOTTLE/Woods
2/Gourmand
In other words: signups on the same line mean "same bottle", signups on another line for the same scent means "different bottles". You can list as many different bottles from the same category as you want. If I don't have enough different bottles to fill those orders when it all shakes out, I'll let you choose from another category that I do have slots in, or drop the decant.
IF YOU DO NOT USE THE ABOVE FORMAT FOR LISTING YOUR SIGNUPS, I WILL NOT GUESS WHAT YOU MEANT AND I WILL NOT GUARANTEE IF YOU GET SAME/DIFFERENT BOTTLES. Some of you don't copy/paste the signup template (probably because you're on mobile?) and sometimes I have to guess what you mean. I'm not doing that this time. If you don't use the above format, and you order multiple decants from the same category, you will get either same bottle or different bottle depending on how I need to balance the signups.
Phew.
SPECIAL CAVEAT: The signups as listed in the below lists are not necessarily going to be the way that you get your actual decants. In other words, if Alice is on the list as being in the same bottle as Bob, Alice and Bob are not going to necessarily get the same scent. I will label all the decants the way the Lab labels them: with the Roman numbers on the bottle.
